Who is the girl in the floral dress?

Who is the girl in the floral dress?  Am I the only one who ever wanted to enter a room and hear that question? (I hope not 😏). A floral dress is an epitome of cuteness, it brings out the feminine side in any girl. Due to how chic a floral dress is, it is usually worn to the beach or for casual outings.   This week, I decided to try styling my floral dress as a formal look and it turned out pretty great. I matched the dress with black blazers, black tights and a pair of black heels. I chose the "all black" to highlight the color in the dress. The look was completed with a pair of silver statement earrings which added a contrast color to the dress. This shows that our floral dresses are not just for those beach outings but can be styled to work. Where have you rocked your floral dress to and where else do you think you can rock your floral dress to? Enjoy the post and have a great week ahead! An Unapologetic 😎.

when Ankaras merge, they become Unapologetic

Hey you, how was your weekend? Good I hope 😁. So this week, we looking at ankara and how it looks when brought together. Ankara is a common clothing material in Africa and it is beautified by it's different colors and patterns which represents fashion in our culture. I have always been a big fan of ankara prints, I even make the effort to include an ankara piece into my outfit at least once a week, either as a head wrap, a top, jewelry or even a dress (I am sure I'm not the only one who does this 😉). The idea of merging two different ankaras has always been something I wanted to try, but I din't exactly have the right ankara. Mixing two different ankara prints can be tricky and may look tacky when done wrong, but I think the trick to getting it right is either finding a common color in the two prints (however little it might be), or using two ankaras of the same pattern.    I styled my yellow and blue off-shoulder ankara top with a blue and orang

Are you an Unapologetic?

Would you call yourself an "Unapologetic"? That's the question we should be able to answer after reading this post. The dictionary explains unapologetic as an adjective defining an act of unwillingness to make or express an apology, but we are looking at "Unapologetic" as an adverb that describes a person who does not apologize for their style. A person unaffected by the prosecuting remarks of others regarding their sense of fashion. An Unapologetic is someone who brings diversity into our everyday rituals of fashion and style. A person who is not scared of mixing those two very different patterns to create a magnificent look, or rocking those mom jeans with class. Confidence is not a problem for an "Unapologetic" because certainty, class and comfort is achieved in whatever look is portrayed, and there is also no problem with switching things up which could either be from a formal look to that sexy club look.                               A

Unapologetic about the Bibie clothing line

Hi guys, Hope you enjoyed the holidays and I'm sure some of us ate plenty meat (I didn't 😞). This post is about the Bibie clothing line which was designed by my best friend and styled by both of us (Mostly me 😝). The clothing line comprises of pieces that can be easily worn in different occasions and the use of extravagant accessories was avoided in order to highlight the different pieces.  The first piece is called the JUMMY butterfly shift dress (yes, it was named after me 😎). This is a beautiful yellow off-shoulder dress that would pop even in the darkest of nights. The beauty of this dress is the natural bohemian look it portrays (which was how it was styled), but that doesn't mean it can't be rocked to our "owambe" parties. The second is the ZARA shift dress, which is a comfortable long sleeve striped dress. It was styled for two different looks. The first was with a pair sneake

NEW BLOG ALERT - FASHION STYLING

Hi guys, So this is my first post ever as a blogger. My name is Akintomide Jumoke. I'm almost done with school as a Physiotherapist, so i can't really call myself a student 😝. Anyways, I've always had this thing for fashion and I thought it would be fashion designing, until it occurred to me that i loved creating a look rather than the clothes. Guess what? That's fashion styling. I'm not going to lie and say I'm very great at it, but i want to share my sense of style with you guys. I hope you like what you see. So this was the look i rocked to my YBC (Year book class) symposium. It was a little formal event and i decided to be a bit rebellious from the norm. I wanted to look formal but with a hint of chic, (don't mind me). A class mate actually saw the outfit and was like "Only Jumoke would think of wearing a bow-tie on an off-shoulder shirt" 😈. An Unapologetic Chic 😎.
